Description

Los Angeles, 2008: Die Stadt steht kurz vor einer sozialen, wirtschaftlichen und ökologischen Katastrophe. "Southland Tales" ist eine epische Handlung, die die letzten drei Tage vor dem gigantischen Fest zum amerikanischen Nationalfeiertag am 4. Juli beschreibt. Im großen Film-Ensemble spielen Charaktere wie Boxer Santaros, ein Actionstar, der unter Gedächtnisverlust leidet, Krysta Now, ein Pornosternchen, das an der Verwirklichung ihrer TV-Reality-Show arbeitet und Roland Taverner, ein Hermosa Beach Strandpolizist, der einer großen Verschwörung auf die Spur kommt.
