Er beeinflusste zahlreiche Künstler nach ihm wie Bertolt Brecht, Samuel Beckett, Loriot, Gerhard Polt und Helge Schneider. Seine Stücke scheinen dem Dadaismus und dem Expressionimus nahe zu stehen.
